Month: September 2017

Fall is upon us, momma friends! Can you tell the difference in the air? The weather in Seattle is a bit unpredictable this time of year. Sometimes the sun wraps you in it’s warm rays and other times the rain and clouds settle in all day. This year more than ever, I’m looking forward to college football games (go Dawgs!) trekking through pumpkin patches with the Littles, and playdates at the park. I’ve also got my heart set on picking apples at a U Pick orchard and making homemade apple pie. Funny, I can’t manage to make dinner during the work week but somehow I think I can pull off homemade baked goods! (insert eye roll here)

Check out some of my fav picks for all things fall below. Apple pie not included. 🙂

1 Glassybaby Warm and Fuzzy
Glassybaby just released their fall colors. *swoon* This votive, aptly named Warm & Fuzzy, will fill your home with the most beautiful glow. Plus, 10% of every sale is donated to the glassybaby white light fund to help people, animals, and our planet heal. Gorgeous and good–just like you!

2 Mom Tee
Let’s be honest, this moming thing can be hard AF, amiright?! This cute tee keeps it real.  Tuck the front into a pair of skinnies paired withthese New Balance sneakers and you’ll be ready to chase dem babies around a corn maze all darn day.

3 Honest Lavender Hand Sanitizer
Raise your hand if sanitizer is life. 🙋 Ditto. With three *lovely* but oh-so-so-dirty boys I live and die by the status of my sanitizer supply. But, most leave my hands super dry and smelling of who knows what kind of chemicals. Leave it to Jessica Alba to bring us this plant-based organic alternative that also smells like a field of lavenders. You can rest easy knowing that your hands will be germ free even after that diaper change in the back seat of the Target parking lot. #momlifeisthebestlife

4Levi’s Women’s 721 High Rise Distressed Skinny Jeans, Rugged Indigo Reasonably priced, high waisted, perfectly placed distressing. Need I say more?

5 Quay Australia The Playa Aviator Sunnies These are trendy take on classic aviators. Slip these on with literally anything and you’ll instantly look chic. Done & done.

6 Hunter Boots Hunter boots are simply timeless. This updated style features a slimmer shape from the original and a universally flattering shaft.  Love this for trekking around the pumpkin patch or playing in puddles with the Littles.

7 Boden Cable Knit Hat Weekend hair don’t care. I don’t know what I would do without my extensive collection of hats. I’m forever searching for ones that balance of-the-moment looks with shapes that can be worn for years. One of my fav brands for fun shoes and accessories is UK brand, Boden. They never fail to deliver classic shapes in colorful combos and this color block stocking hat does not disappoint.

8 Ruffle Sleeve T-Shirt Dress This playful dress features of-the-moment ruffle sleeves and a flattering silhouette. It’s also mighty comfy. Key for any weekend moming outfit.

9 Tarte Matte Lip Tint This matte lip tint from Tarte gives  just enough color without looking overdone. It’s such a cinch to apply on the go, you don’t even need the rear view mirror. Find a round up of more on-the-go makeup staples here.

10 Power Up Tassle Key Chain I’m a firm believer in keeping your devices charged at all times…for safety reasons and because taking 1,000 pics of your kids requires serious battery power. I bought mine in blush and personalized with gold monogramming.

11 Moto Vest I adore this vest. The relaxed yet structured style couldn’t be any more perfect for moming weekends. For perusing the farmer’s market, pair with your fav black leggings, striped long sleeve, a top knot and sunnies or dress it up with distressed jeans and a cute tee for a movie nite with the hubs.

12 Ex-Boyfriend Slim Jeans If you find that boyfriend jeans don’t flatter your shape (that would be me), try this slim leg ex-boyfriend jean. It’s especially well suited for petite frames.

13 Bell Sleeve Tie Front Top How cute is this top? Yet another piece that’s so on trend with those ruffle sleeves. Stripes add a bit of a casual touch, which means you can wear this to a weekend playdate at the children’s museum or dress it up with distressed white jeans and sandals for those glorious warm autumn evenings. Accessorize with a glass of white wine and your #momsquad.

14 Belted Puffer  The key to a puffer jacket that doesn’t overwhelm your shape (read: make you look bulky) is the right proportion and, of course, a belt. J.crew has fine tuned both in this jacket.

15 Brooklyn Buckle Bag A gorgeous leather bag is a statement piece that will only get more beautiful with use. This bag has room for all the mom things and is stylish enough for your next business trip.<< p>< /p>

I’ve come to grips with the fact that the days of leisurely doing my makeup in front of my very own bathroom mirror are over. I probably should have accepted this, like, 2 kids ago, but, hey, I’m stubborn. Now that I’ve mourned the days of old, I’ve gotten pretty good at applying my makeup […]
