Last weekend we took our family Christmas pics. It was absolutely freezzzing. I’m really hoping there is at least one where the 5 of us are smiling and don’t look as cold as we were. ❄️❄️❄️
Even though it was cold (& there had to be a little bit of bribing involved) I don’t think anything can change my love for our annual family photoshoot.
I honestly love the whole process. From planning what we’ll wear to having the kids try on their clothes to heading out on an adventure on the day of the shoot and then, once we get the pics, marveling at just how much the boys have grown from last year..
As a blended family, I can’t help but feel like it also documents us as a family unit.
But, every holiday when it comes time to share our photos in our holiday card, I struggle to find a card that works for us since we don’t share one single last name.
We haven’t gotten our photos from our wonderful photographer yet, but when we do, these will be the first designs I try. Most are from Minted because I’m a creature of habit and I’m simply in love with everything on the site, but Shutterfly and Tiny Prints (from the Shutterfly) also made the list.
Christmas Cards Designs for Blended Families:
Modify These Designs to Include First Names Only
Most online card design companies will help you make small changes to designs. You can modify the copy in the design and then have a designer send you an updated proof (example of what the card will look like) before it gets printed.
The color combinations of the outfits in the photo above is actually really similar to ours this year. I think this photo is stunning and I hope we have one as good to choose from!🤞🏻
New Year’s Cards For Blended Families
Sending a New Year’s card means it’s not late even if you didn’t get your cards ordered until the day before Christmas. Just sayin’If we look as cold as we were in our pics the above is our back up.😂
Do any of you mommas have blended families? What are the holiday traditions you’ve made your own?
