Trust the Process: Sometimes God Answers in the Quiet Moments

There has been one prayer on repeat in my life lately.

Not for money.
Not for success.
Not for opportunities.

Just guidance.

I've been asking God to guide my steps, guide my decisions, and help me make the right choices. Like many people, I'm in a season where I'm trying to build, grow, and move forward. Sometimes that journey can feel exciting, and other times it can feel overwhelming.

When you're standing at a crossroads in life, the hardest part isn't always taking action. Sometimes it's simply knowing which direction to go.

The other night, I was lying in bed thinking about all the things I have on my plate. My businesses. My family. My future. The goals I'm working toward. The decisions I need to make.

And in that moment, I thought to myself:

"I don't read the Bible like I should."

So I prayed a simple prayer.

"God, give me a verse. Just give me a verse that will help me today."

Almost immediately, the words "Psalms 31:3" came into my mind.

Now let me be clear I had no idea what Psalms 31:3 said.

None.

I didn't know if it was about faith, strength, forgiveness, or something completely different.

So I grabbed my phone and looked it up.

This is what I found:

Psalms 31:3

"Since you are my rock and my fortress, for the sake of your name lead and guide me."

I just stared at the screen.

Because that was exactly what I had been praying for.

Lead me.

Guide me.

Show me the way.

The very answer I had been asking God for was sitting right there in front of me.

It reminded me that sometimes we spend so much time looking for giant signs that we miss the small moments where God is speaking directly to us.

Not through a billboard.

Not through a dramatic life event.

Not through a stranger.

But through a simple verse.

A simple thought.

A quiet moment.

Sometimes guidance doesn't come with flashing lights and loud announcements. Sometimes it comes with peace. Sometimes it comes with confirmation. Sometimes it comes as a gentle reminder that you're not walking this journey alone.

That experience also reminded me to be intentional with my thoughts.

We live in a world full of noise. Everyone has an opinion about what we should do, where we should go, and how we should live our lives.

But when we slow down long enough to listen, we create space for God to speak.

Maybe that's what some of us need today.

Not another plan.

Not another strategy.

Not another opinion.

Maybe we simply need to pause, pray, and listen.

Trust the process.

Trust that every step doesn't have to be perfectly mapped out.

Trust that you don't need all the answers before taking the next step.

Trust that God is capable of leading you exactly where you're supposed to be.

And most importantly, trust that when you ask for guidance, He hears you.

I know He heard me.

And maybe this is your reminder that He's listening to you, too.

Psalms 31:3

"Since you are my rock and my fortress, for the sake of your name lead and guide me."

Today, that's my prayer.

Lead me.

Guide me.

And help me trust the process.

Always remember.....

Protect your life.
Guard your love.
And never play about your hustle.
